Penny Wise Pound Foolish
The small money that we save today on children’s education makes a huge dent to the child’s career and to our wallet later on.
Given that as parents we do not have time, we will have to spend money to seek those services from outside. There is no way we can make comparisons with the yester years when we studied on our own and the studies in school was par excellence
- Schools work on the common minimum programme
- Peer group culture does not exist
- Parents do not have the time
All these justify the proliferation of after school classes or coaching institutes for people who want to go beyond the school curriculum. If that means shelling out those extra bucks, parents should not shy away from it. It is an investment well made.
Ofcourse, if the intent is to be an average Indian student school education is sufficient. It is only for the gifted or those who want to go beyond the school curriculum that the after school classes is a necessity.
